No friends, I am not announcing a new baby...
But it does involve a major life change for our family...
We are very thankful for a partnering church that loves and cares for us as much as they do. They have been so very good to us over these past years and continue to show their love to us during this big change. It is such a blessing to us to be surrounded by so many loving and caring people as we re-adjust and introduce our children to living in an American culture for the first time. Thank you WRCC!
For all of you out there who read this blog, I would ask for your prayers as we face this change. We are making plans to leave towards the end of June or early July. Obviously, we have lots of details to take care of - packing, shipping stuff, finding housing and new schools, finishing ministries and saying good-bye to relationships here. This is our first time to do this as a family - and if anyone out there has any advice - I am all ears! I would especially appreciate any tips on how to help make this a special time for my kids.
Thanks friends!

definitely thinking of and praying for you guys. whew, didn't know how long i could keep it in. . .kidding! for the older boys, maybe getting them some cameras? seriously! a way to take photos of friends and get addresses and such. when i work with exchange students we talk about 'things we can keep' and bring to our own families, and things that obviously we have to leave behind, like special traditions and such. . . i'm sure there are some mexican traditions you can ALWAYS keep as part of your family, since you have three mexican kiddos :) above all ENJOY your time!
Praying for you in this time of transition. Our big prayer is that you will stay "connected" and "in the moment" in Mexico until you leave. It is so easy to put our mind and heart elsewhere when we know leaving will be soon. MRN probably has some great resources for you on reentry, and Dottie Schultz (with MRN) is an invaluable person that could help.
Blessings in this time. So, how long do we have to wait before we can start recruiting you for Morelia? =) Yeah, and one more question, do you have any idea how we could get an AIM team here? We just have no idea how do to that!!!!
Before we left Chicago, I did the "tourist things" with the boys so they would have very specific memories of their first home. Reese will have strong memories of Mexico City, but the others will develop memories from your family stories. I know you and Benjy will do an awesome job preparing the boys for the move! I am so happy you will be closer. You may just becoome the second stop on my Gramma trips. Love to all, MJ
Oh, Care! What a big thing going on with your family...I will certainly be praying for you as you begin this new adventure in your lives!
Marc and I were at WRCC a few weeks ago and Arnis told me the exciting news that y'all are coming back for a while! I was so excited I pretty much cried! How are you feeling now with everything? I'm sure you have so many mixed emotions about everything. We're praying for y'all and also for the people in Mexico who love you all so much and will miss you so very much! Love you!
